What Are AAC Blocks?

AAC BLOCKS

AAC or Autoclaved Aerated Concretes are precast, lightweight, foam concrete building material that is good for producing concrete units like blocks. It contains quartz sand, cement, lime, water, gypsum, and aluminum powder. These are autoclaved under heat and pressure. The AAC Blocks that are made from these AAC materials are more lightweight and more durable than traditional blocks

It was invented in the mid-1920s.

Provides:

  • Structure
  • Insulation
  • Mold resistance
  • Fire resistance
  • Sound insulation

CONCLUSION

This looked into the properties of burnt clay bricks with fly ash. The use of fly ash in the production of brick could be a cost-effective solution to dispose of this waste. This could lead to the conservation of natural resources such as fertile soil and the enhancement of the qualities of burnt clay bricks. Lighter bricks can be produced by incorporating fly ash in clay bricks. An 18% reduction in weight could be achieved after a 25% replacement of clay with fly ash. This reduction in the weight helps in making Lightweight AAC blocks.
